Welcome to the South High Marching Band Site!
The Marching Band from South High Community School in Worcester, MA. was nominated by Govenor Deval Patrick to represent the state in the National Independence Day Parade July 4, 2012.
This diverse group of talented young people are the only public high school to have a marching band in the city. To their credit they have marched in the 2010 Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Worcester (where they placed first in the large band category), the 2010 Columbus Day Parade in Worcester (where they placed third overall), the 2010 Memorial Day Parade in Ware, Ma., and the 2011 Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Worcester. They will be marching in the Columbus Day Parade in Worcester this coming October. They have also performed at Union Station when the Good Morning America show came through Worcester, and at various locations in Worcester County.
Like so many things these days, the trip will cost money. It is our hope that everyone can help make this trip a reality. Please consider making a donation. We are a recognized 501c(3) charity, so your donations are tax deductable. Please make checks payable to "South High Band", and send them to:
